Big news: Constructions-3D is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Printerra Inc., our official Canadian distributor and a leading advocate for the adoption of Additive Construction and 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) in Canada and beyond. Since its founding in 2023, Printerra has been driving the adoption of 3DCP in the construction industry with their innovative Additive Construction as a Service (ACaaS) model. By bringing Constructions-3D's state-of-the-art MaxiPrinter to market, Printerra is accelerating an industry-wide shift toward additive construction. This collaboration highlights our mutual commitment to innovation, leadership, and transformative solutions—and we’re thrilled to embark on this journey together.
We recently had the pleasure of meeting the Printerra team face-to-face, deepening our partnership through an intensive five-day knowledge exchange at our headquarters, La Citadelle des Savoir-Faire, in France. There’s nothing like hands-on collaboration to strengthen ties—especially when teams are an ocean apart.
Printerra’s founders, Leigh Newman and Yafes “Nick” Gabuji, along with three engineers and a materials specialist, joined Constructions-3D experts Mattis Solé and Antoine Urquizar for immersive sessions focused on the MaxiPrinter. Already experienced in 3DCP and additive construction, the Printerra team dove into operational and software details to ensure they’re fully equipped to commission and optimize the MaxiPrinter for both clients and internal projects. This in-person exchange solidified our strategic alliance and underscored our shared vision for advancing additive construction in Canada and beyond.
Printerra continues to lead with conviction, advancing construction through their comprehensive ACaaS model—a platform that delivers everything needed to adopt 3D Construction Printing at scale. Built on six pillars:Technology, Design & Engineering, Materials, Training & Skilled Workforce, Collaboration & Partnerships, and Construction; ACaaS empowers builders, developers, and institutions to integrate 3DCP with confidence. Among their initiatives is a $1 million research collaboration with a leading Canadian university, focused on structural certification of 3D-printed wall components. This includes rigorous testing for thermal performance, shear strength, lateral load resistance, water permeability, and destructive mechanical strength; establishing critical benchmarks for real-world adoption.
As Constructions-3D’s Canadian distributor, Printerra is uniquely positioned to supply the MaxiPrinter to industrial partners looking for rapid construction solutions and play an active role in scaling sustainable, cost-effective construction solutions across the country.
This partnership isn’t just about delivering results today—it’s about shaping where construction goes next. Together, Constructions-3D and Printerra are advancing a strategic vision grounded in innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of smarter, more sustainable building practices. Constructions-3D’s global technology leadership combined with Printerra’s boots-on-the-ground momentum and ACaaS model reflects our strong joint commitment to accelerating the adoption of 3DCP and meeting Canada’s growing demand for affordable housing.
Leigh Newman, CEO of Printerra, expressed his excitement about what lies ahead, emphasizing the value of ongoing knowledge exchange and a shared sense of purpose. Together, we’re opening new doors—across Canada and internationally—as the construction industry evolves to meet urgent demands for change.
As Constructions-3D and Printerra strengthen their partnership, the mutual growth between our two companies is something to celebrate. With Printerra serving as our gateway to the Canadian market—and advancing a globally relevant ACaaS model—we are jointly working to help make 3D printing a standard in construction. Together, we aim to meet the rising demand for faster, more efficient, and sustainable building solutions—not only in Canada and Europe, but around the world.
This collaboration reinforces our shared commitment to driving progress in both technology and expertise, and we look forward to the many opportunities and innovations that lie ahead.
