Frequently asked questions
Have houses already been 3D printed?
There is still no inhabited house printed in 3D today in France. We plan to print the first inhabited control house in France for the end of 2019.
I would like to print my house or an extension, how should I go about it?
Please contact us by e-mail with some information on your project, our local service provider will contact you.
What are the specific constraints of a 3D printed house?
You can print many shapes to live in a single house, but also all the classical forms (straight walls, etc.). With our machine, it is possible to build on an area of up to 250m².
Is living in a 3D printed house realistic?
We are working on experimental technical advice that will make it possible to live in printed houses, as in any other habitat.
How to help you realize your project?
As a 3D printer manufacturer, the best way to help us is to give us an opportunity to bring and show you our technology. You can also support us financially through our donation platform, which will give you access to multiple exclusive advantages.
How can I join the team?
Our business is growing rapidly and always needs new talent. You will find the list of competencies that we have in the tab "APPLY" in our form of contact.
How soon will these 3D building printing technologies be unavoidable?
Within two years, this technology of the future will be largely a technology of the present.
How does a printed house react to its environment?
There is a lack of perspective on printed works since no house printed in 3D is inhabited in France at present. However, there is no reason why, with this more advanced technology, the structures should not be more efficient (resistance to earthquakes, time, etc.). We will demonstrate all this with our test site in 2019.
How to isolate a 3D printed house?
It is possible to isolate the building by adding a layer of insulation, as on traditional structures, but it is also possible to include insulation inside the walls.
What performance can be expected from a 3D printed house?
Printed houses are designed to be energy-optimized. Performances equivalent to the best in the market are highly likely.
What are the advantages of printing a house?
Obvious time savings, new and unique forms, lower cost, reproducibility of a construction, advanced control of the site (deadlines, costs, etc.) and simplification of the second work make 3D printing the revolutionary technology.
What will be the external appearance of the wall?
3D printing consists of the addition of layers of material. The exterior appearance will always be sedimentary, although relatively smooth. It is always possible to apply a coating on it, but purists will be able to keep this typical surface of 3D printed structures.
